The beta for update 2.4 beta arrived once Genshin Impact Version 2.3 joined the live servers. It has become a habit for miHoYo to introduce new characters before the beta even arrives which is most likely done because the characters would be leaked either way.

A recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed a screenshot featuring the popular character Klee inside a brand new domain which is rumored to belong to Shenhe. A couple of weeks ago, one of the most credible Genshin Impact leakers, Lumie, hinted that beta leaks hint that Shenhe’s dungeon will arrive in update 2.4. When it comes to Shenhe’s rarity, there is still no official information but this dungeon heavily hints that she will be a limited five-star banner character.

Previous leaks about her element have been confirmed by the official art and she will be a new Cryo character. Even though most leaks were predicting that she will be a catalyst user, the announcement confirmed that she will be wielding a polearm. When it comes to her playstyle she will most likely be one of the strongest sub-DPS characters in the game. A recent leak on the same subreddit has revealed much information about her kit:

Passive - Upon activating Shenhe’s Elemental Skill, her party members gain a significant damage or skill buff, depending on the way it was activated (hold or tap) Elemental Skill (tap) - allows Shenhe to dash forward dealing Cryo damage along the way, similar to Xiao’s skill Elemental Skill (hold) - deals AoE Cryo damage for a couple of seconds Elemental Burst - releases the power of Sealed Spirit, allowing it to roam and deal AoE Cryo damage. The spirit will leave behind a field effect which will decrease Cryo and Physical Resistances of enemies in the field

There is no official information nor credible leaks if Shenhe and Yun Jin will be featured on the same banner. However, multiple previous leaks have been hinting that Ganyu and Xiao might get a banner re-run meaning that update 2.4 could have a similar pattern as its predecessor containing a double banner re-run for the one cycle and two new characters for the other.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
