The game’s social media accounts have already revealed the official art for two new characters, Yelan and Kuki Shinobu. Recent Genshin Impact 2.7 beta leaks have revealed a big portion of Kuki’s kit, including her Elemental Skill, Burst, and Constellations.

Genshin Impact updates have a beta phase which reveals most of the upcoming content, including the combat stats of a new character. A very credible leaker named Dimbreath has revealed a lot of information about one of the most anticipated characters, Kuki Shinobu. Previous leaks have already hinted that she will be a new Electro support character. While pre-beta rumors could be considered questionable, the beta leaks almost always prove to be correct. HoYoverse could still make a couple of small tweaks to Kuki’s numbers in order to balance her power, but the majority of her kit should will most likely stay the same.

According to the leak, her elemental skill is called Sanctifying Ring, and it allows her to create a Grass Ring of Sanctification at the cost of a chunk of her health bar, dealing Electro damage in the process. This effect will follow the active character to deal Electro damage to nearby opponents and restore HP based on Kuki’s max HP. This seems like a unique ability which could make her one of the best four-star supports in the game.

Kuki’s elemental burst, Goei Narukami Kariyama Rite, allows her to stab “an evil-excoriating blade” into the ground and create a barrier that deals Electro damage to opponents within the area. This ability scales with Kuki’s health as well, and it will have a stronger effect if she drops below 50% HP. Both of her skills are very reliant on her HP which means that players will finally find another use for their HP percentage artifact pieces.

It’s now safe to say that Kuki Shinobu will arrive in the same update as the long-awaited Hydro bow user Yelan. However, rumors claim that they will most likely be divided between the two banner cycles, which means that players will need to pull on two separate banners in order to acquire both of them. Genshin Impact update 2.7 should arrive around May 15, at least according to the game’s usual update schedule.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
