Each banner cycle has its unique weapon banner which allows players to acquire different types of Genshin Impact weapons. The game’s social media account have confirmed the items that will appear on the upcoming weapon banner:
Primordial Jade Winged-Spear (five-star polearm) Aqua Simulacra (five-star bow) Sacrificial Sword (four-star sword) Favonius Greatsword (four-star claymore) Eye of Perception (four-star catalyst) Lithic Spear (four-star polearm) Sacrificial Bow (four-star bow)
The only new weapon on this banner is the Aqua Simulacra, and it serves as the signature weapon for the new five-star character Yelan. The official Genshin Impact livestream event has already revealed the majority of Yelan’s kit and unlike most bow users, her damage will scale with HP. The new weapon’s passive ability increases the weapon holder’s health by 16-32%,based on the refinement levels, which makes it the perfect choice for new five-star Hydro user. The weapon also gives a significant 20-40% damage buff if there are no opponents nearby.
Considering that its secondary stat is Crit Rate, the Aqua Simulacra would also be a decent fit for any DPS bow character in the game. Support characters like Fischl, whose main job is to drop her Oz and get swapped out, could also benefit from this weapon. The other five-star weapon, Primordial Jade Winged-Spear is a one of the strongest DPS weapons in the Genshin Impact at the moment and it’s a great choice for any polearm damage dealer. This polearm is the signature weapon for the second character that will appear on the upcoming double banner, the Anemo user Xiao.
Aqua Simulacra will not be the only weapon that will arrive in the upcoming update. The game has also confirmed the arrival of another four-star bow named Fading Twilight which will apparently be obtainable for free by finishing a couple of quests. Both of the new weapons are quite flexible since they can be used on DPS, sub-DPS, and support characters.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
