Every Genshin Impact update is divided into to separate parts, each of which contains a unique set of limited weapons and characters. The weapon banner usually introduces two types of five-star weapons and five different four-star weapons.

The official Genshin Impact social media accounts have revealed the weapons that will arrive for the second banner cycle. Unlike the first weapon banner for Genshin Impact update 2.7, the second one won’t introduce any new weapons. According to the tweet, the new weapon banner will feature the following items:
Redhorn Stonethresher - five-star claymore Memory of Dust - five-star catalyst Lion’s Roar - four-star sword Lithic Spear - four-star polearm Lithic Blade - four-star claymore Sacrificial Fragments - four-star catalyst The Stringless - four-star bow
Fans seem unhappy with the new weapon banner claiming that both of the five-star weapons are situational considering that they are the go-to choice for only a handful of characters. Redhorn Stonethresher is a claymore designed for Arataki Itto who is scheduled to appear on the upcoming limited character banner. Unlike most Genshin Impact DPS characters, Itto’s damage scales with the Defense stat which makes this weapon the perfect choice for him as it grants additional defense through its passive trait. However, this also means that the weapon won’t perform nearly as good any other claymore user.
The other five-star weapon, Memory of Dust, is only useful for parties that heavily rely on shields such as Geo team compositions. When it comes to the four-star weapons, The Stringless certainly stands out as a powerful four-star bow. It’s a great fit for supportive characters like Venti or Fischl thanks to its passive which increases the character’s Elemental Skill and Burst damage by 24%
This will be Arataki Itto’s first Genshin Impact banner re-run, and he will be joined by three solid four-star characters, Kuki Shinobu, Gorou, and Congyun. Kuki is the only new character on the banner and she’s going to be a new Electro support, at least according to a recent update preview. Players who want to add Itto to their roster should definitely try to acquire Gorou as well as he’s Itto’s go-to support character.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
