Tighnari and Collei will both be the first Dendro characters in Genshin Impact. This, paired with the fact that HoYoverse released a preview of Dendro Elemental Reactions, means that Travelers can have fun combining Dendro Elements once version 3.0 drops. An Elemental Reaction can happen when two specific Elements meet, granting a unique playstyle for people to experiment with. Currently, the only Dendro Elemental Reaction available in Genshin Impact is Burning. This occurs when a character is affected by Pyro and Dendro at the same time. Once Sumeru drops, Travelers will get to experience two other Reactions, Bloom and Catalyze. Bloom will occur when Dendro and Hydro meet, while Catalyze requires Electro to trigger.

Tighnari didn’t appear to be wielding a weapon, but Collei is clearly wielding a bow in her hand. Meanwhile, Dori is set to be an Electro unit, but like Tighnari, her weapon is also uncertain. Similar to Inazuma’s release where the Electro Archon wasn’t immediately playable, Genshin Impact 3.0 also won’t include the Dendro Archon, Lesser Lord Kusanali.
However, people who are excited will need to wait for one more version before they get to experience Sumeru. The upcoming update is Genshin Impact 2.8, and while it’s not Sumeru, players still have the chance to explore a new map. The Golden Apple Archipelago will maintain its archipelago state from version 1.6, but many things are likely to change, ensuring Travelers will still have a full experience in the summer journey. The developer has also recently confirmed that the island will not be permanent, so players should explore as much as possible while the Golden Apple Archipelago is available.
Genshin Impact 2.8 will feature Kazuha, Klee, and Yoimiya, where Klee and Kazuha will come in the first phase of the version and Yoimiya will be available in the second. This means the game has done a rerun for all the available characters before the new Genshin Impact region comes. In the future, Travelers can expect a few new Sumeru characters paired with occasional reruns.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
