The tsundere female characters in Genshin Impact can be easily recognized through a variety of factors. Players can notice a lot of denials, the famous ‘hmph’ or huffing, or the occasional blushing and stuttering. Some female characters will even take a typical tsundere pose, which is hands-on the hips and chin up in the air.
5 Fischl
Although Fischl is always seen as an eccentric character in Genshin Impact she can be considered a tsundere, albeit she doesn’t show it a lot. Many see her poetic speeches and her wide imagination in a negative light, but she doesn’t let it bother her. The Prinzessin der Verurteilung greatly appreciates those who accept her the way she is without asking her to change.
Even though Fischl is living her life through poetic theatrics, she won’t hesitate to save a friend in need. Additionally, the Princess will occasionally break her royal character and reveal rare information about herself, shocking those around her. These types of scenarios make her deny anything she said by swatting her hands around as seen in her idle animation. Princess Fischl will also argue with Genshin Impact Mona and Oz from time to time and ends the fight with a ‘hmph’ if she didn’t win the conversation.
4 Keqing
Keqing is the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing and one can hardly see her since her schedule is filled to the brim. She is a workaholic that never stops taking a break and always tries to find methods to improve. Rex Lapis once admitted that it’s people like her who assured him that taking a step back from managing Liyue won’t be a mistake. Her hate for the gods is truly something because Genshin Impact Keqing tried to get rid of her Electro Vision multiple times but accepted it later on.

The Yuheng knows she’s good at her job but will still get flustered and become a blushing mess when someone compliments her. The occasional ‘hmph’ and ‘ahem’ are a must while dealing with a tsundere, especially when she’s talking with a shy gaze. Although she appears to have a conflicted relationship with Rex Lapis in Genshin Impact, Keqing once bought a Rex Lapis clay figurine when no one was looking. However, one of her friends found out, and she answered, “For… For introspection, of course! There’s nothing wrong with self-reflection, is there?”
3 Mona
Mona claims herself to be “Astrologist Mona Megistus” in Genshin Impact who uses astrology along with hydromancy. She can see people’s fates and know when someone is lying. Mona is prideful and fully confident in her abilities as an astrologer, and this information was proven by her discovering that the Traveler is from another world upon meeting them. Sadly, Mona’s love for astrology makes her spend her entire salary on astrology-related gadgets, forcing the Astrologist to live a frugal life.

Lady Megistus always tries to deny her lack of Mora by saying stuff like, “one must always have a clear mind and not be swayed by exquisite meals.” Questioning her abilities or comparing them to her Master will force a ‘hmph’ out of her as she explains the difference. Additionally, complementing her will also bring out the occasional ‘ahem’ and the stuttering. Her childish/tsundere side tends to come out when she’s interacting with Fischl and Oz.
2 Eula
Eula is the descendant of the Lawrence clan in Genshin Impact. Many citizens treat her with disrespect due to her clan’s dark history. The Spindrift Knight however paved her own path and joined the Knights of the Favonius, making her an outcast among her clan members. Because of her family’s teaching methods and strict nature, Eula grew up to be cold and distant while vowing vengeance.

Her caring personality truly shines when she’s with her friends, like Amber, Sara (of Good Hunter), Yanfei, and the Traveler. Eula’s Genshin Impact teammates also came to respect her as their captain. She has a strong sense of protection towards her city, as she threatened to wipe out her family if they ever thought about hurting the citizens. Actually, Amber is the reason why the citizens start to accept Eula and treat her normally since the former keeps talking about her friend’s achievements. According to Paimon’s observation, Eula puts her hands on her hips, raises her chin, and lets out a classic ‘hmph’ when she doesn’t want to admit something, like a true tsundere.
1 Diona
Diona is an obvious tsundere thanks to her constant denial, stuttering tendencies, and cat-like behaviors. Because her father gets drunk a lot, she vows to destroy the wine industry. Ironically, her magical hands make delicious drinks no matter what she mixes.
The Bartender of Cat’s Tail is a tsundere to strangers and her friends. The only difference is that she hisses at the former and denies her true feelings around the latter. By listening to her voice lines, players can hear all the stammering, the blushing, the hmph’s, and the ahem’s. Diona will occasionally suggest something to the Genshin Impact Traveler and they will initially refuse, which makes her blush and say very tsundere sentences like “who said I wanted to go with you?” or “why do you think I care about you?”. She will even deny her cat-like tendencies, even though everyone knows she’s a Kätzlein.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
