Previously, people could only post things related to miHoYo games. But recently, HoYoLAB even opened a new LAB section, where users can talk about practically anything. This broadens the range of things that will buzz in the forum.
At first, HoYoLAB was a simple forum made for conversations. But as time goes, the site goes through a lot of changes. Some are great, while some others are controversial. Among the significant changes are new gadgets for people to use. Here are the details for each of them.

How Is HoYoLAB Related To Genshin Impact?
HoYoLAB is an official forum for miHoYo’s games. This includes Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, Tears of Themis, and Honkai: Star Rail. As this platform is official, players can trust the site to bring the most up-to-date official information.
For people who haven’t tried it out yet, then they should give it a shot. The forum is filled with events that reward Primogems and Merchandise. Honkai Impact 3rd and Tears of Themis section also have contests and events to take part in. On top of that, there are some handy tools available for every game.
HoYoLAB Tools For Genshin Impact
HoYoLAB continues to be developed over time. At first, there were zero tools available on the forum. But now, there are five Genshin Impact tools players can use. These are:
Daily Check-in Battle Chronicle Teyvat Interactive Map Traveler’s Diary Enhancement Progression Calculator
Daily Check-in
It’s a little surprising that Daily Check-in is not a thing in Genshin Impact itself, especially since this feature can be seen in other miHoYo games, like Tears of Themis.
In HoYoLAB, Daily Check-in is meant to reward players participating in the forum community. While most of the rewards are negligible, people can get an extra 60 Primogems every month. A small number, but the grind goes on for F2P players.
Battle Chronicle
Battle Chronicle is likely players’ favorite tool in HoYoLAB. With it, people can share their available Genshin characters, constellations, items, and build. For some curious cats, they can even see other players’ Spiral Abyss line up. This can be inspiring for those who struggled to reach full stars in the end-game domain.
If Battle Chronicle is accessed via the HoYoLAB app, players can even see a live count of their Resin and Expedition status. With this tool, people can easily know when to log in and spend their Resin.
Teyvat Interactive Map
There were many Interactive Maps around, but none was official. The only official map was available in the Chinese BBS. Luckily, after many suggestions, Global HoYoLAB can finally enjoy its own Teyvat Interactive Map.
As the name suggests, players can easily input the items they’d like to find, and the tool will mark the location on the map. This covers almost everything that can be found in Genshin Impact. It even includes chests, animals, and detailed Investigation Spots.

Players can sync their in-game pins into their map, or mark some collectibles as obtained (super handy when hunting Oculus). However, as of now, there’s no way to sync in-game progress with the map. So all the marking processes have to be done manually.
Traveler’s Diary
Traveler’s Diary is one of the newest tools in HoYoLAB. This book keeps a record of players’ Primogems and Mora earnings (of the last three months). By looking at it, players can keep an easier track of their currency. This tool won’t consider currency gained via top-up or event prizes, so players can rely on it to predict how much monthly Primogems they can earn from the game.
Enhancement Progression Calculator
The most recent tool released in HoYoLAB is the Enhancement Progression Calculator. This one is extremely handy for resource management. To use it, players simply have to insert the desired character and their level. Afterward, the calculator will show how much resources Genshin Impact players will need to upgrade the character.
If players use the HoYoLAB app, the app will sync with in-game progress, so manual input is no longer needed.
Other than characters, this tool will also calculate the needed materials to upgrade a weapon. But as of now, this feature doesn’t sync with in-game progress, even via the HoYoLAB app.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
