Luckily, restoring these monuments isn’t too hard as the Primal Obelisk will direct people to the required Slate’s location. In fact, what’s harder is finding the Obelisk itself. If Travelers are having difficulties in locating the monuments, here’s where and how they can find each Primal Obelisk location in Genshin Impact.

Primal Obelisk Locations In Genshin Impact
The A Well-Trained Archaeologist Achievement in Genshin Impact is a reward for restoring all 10 Primal Obelisks available in the desert area of Sumeru 3.1. In total, three Primal Obelisks exist on the surface level (star symbol), while the other seven are deep underground (Hilichurl mask symbol). Most of them are rather easy to find, but some can be quite a hassle.
Keep in mind that players must first obtain full Genshin Impact clearance before they attempt to get this achievement.
Primal Obelisk Location #1

First, head to the marked Teleport Waypoint (white circle), and follow the black route to the red X mark.
At the X mark, there should be a hole. Plunge down into it.
At the bottom of the hole, there will be more halls to explore. Follow the black route to reach an elevator (white circle).
The elevator will lead players to a room with a large statue. From here, head to the hole in the wall on the other side (red arrow).
Walk (or glide) down the stairs, then turn left at the bottom. Another elevator is waiting as soon as Travelers turn left.
After riding the final elevator, simply follow through the halls to the marked spot to reach the second Primal Obelisk.
Primal Obelisk Location #3
The next Primal Obelisk is located in Thutmose’s secret base in Genshin Impact. After getting the password and entering the hideout, simply follow the black route to find the third Obelisk.
Primal Obelisk Location #4
This Primal Obelisk is located on the surface and can be found effortlessly.
Primal Obelisk Location #5

Primal Obelisk Location #9
Use the Teleport Waypoint north of the Scarlet King Mausoleum, then enter the ruins via the lowest passage.

The ninth Primal Obelisk is waiting right behind the door.
