RELATED: Genshin Impact: Best Weapons For Yoimiya

With many Genshin Impact players wanting any five-star character they can get, there are some who have gotten lucky and received Tartaglia in their wish pulls. While he is a strong character to have, there are some builds for this character that are better than others.

Updated November 28th, 2022, by Nahda Nabiilah: Genshin Impact 3.2 marks the last version where Tartaglia is the only playable Harbinger in the game. In version 3.3, Scaramouche (Wanderer) will be released as an Anemo unit that wields the Catalyst for his weapon. Unlike Shikanoin Heizou who uses Catalyst but plays as a melee, Scaramouche is set to be a ranged unit. Like Heizou, Childe is also a melee character that uses a ranged weapon. It has been over two years since Tartaglia’s initial release in Genshin Impact 1.1, so this article will be updated to include a more thorough overview of the best build for Childe in Genshin Impact.

Childe (Tartaglia) Best Build In Genshin Impact

Childe (Tartaglia) Best Build - Best Weapon

Childe has gone a long way since his release in Genshin Impact 1.1. Initially, the best bow for him was the Skyward Harp, but later on, Polar Star is designed to be his best-in-slot equipment. Other than those two, players can also use Thundering Pulse, Hunter’s Path, Aqua Simulacra, and Amos’ Bow.

As for the 4-star options, Childe’s best option would be Rust. The Genshin Impact bow is received through wishes in the gacha system. Using it will increase Tartaglia’s normal attack damage, but will decrease his aimed shot damage. Blackcliff Warbow is also amazing, but due to its unstable passive, its performance is rather uncertain, unlike Rust. Finally, The Viridescent Hunt is great for grouping enemies. However, because of the poor refinement scaling, this Battle Pass weapon falls behind the other options on higher refinement.

Other notable options include:

Mouun’s Moon: Can greatly increase Childe’s Burst DMG Prototype Crescent: Requires setting up to activate its passive, but this Genshin Impact bow can compete with other 4-star options if the passive is active King’s Squire: Decent for Burst Support Childe on Vaporize comp. Don’t use for Main DPS Childe Hamayumi: Requires Childe to always have full Energy The Stringless: Like King’s Squire, Stringless is decent for Burst Support Childe on Vaporize comp, but shouldn’t be used on a Main DPS Childe

Childe (Tartaglia) Best Build - Best Artifact

There are three different artifact sets that players should choose for Tartaglia. They are Heart of Depths, +18% ATK set, and Noblesse Oblige.

4pc Heart of Depths is easily the best set for Childe, but 2pc Heart of Depths + 2pc +18% ATK comes really close behind. When the game was first released, +18% ATK usually means Gladiator’s Finale, but as the game grows, there are now many other artifact sets that grant 18% ATK from its 2pc effect, like Shimenawa’s Reminiscence, Vermillion Hereafter, and Echoes of the Offering. Noblesse Oblige set can be found by clearing the Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern in Liyue. Like the previous sets, however, Tartaglia will only benefit from the two-piece bonus. This will increase his Elemental Burst damage by 20%.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, and PS4, with PS5 and Switch versions in development.
