Luckily, this cooldown issue can be reduced by getting Childe’s Constellations in Genshin Impact.

Is Getting Childe Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?
Yes, getting Childe’s Constellations is worth it in Genshin Impact. Simply because Tartaglia suffers from many limitations that his Constellations eliminate. His C4 and C6 are his best Constellations since they help turn him into a decent Main DPS without any cooldown, and raise his overall DMG. However, considering 5-star Constellations can be pricey, if players don’t want to go for his C6, his C1 is enough to increase his effectiveness during combat.
C1 - Foul Legacy: Tide Withholder
Effect: Decreases the CD of Elemental Skill by 20%. Importance: High
Normally, having a 20% cooldown reduction is not that important for characters, but not for C1 Childe. Having that 20% is a blessing for his unbearably long cooldown on his Elemental Skill, Foul Legacy Raging Tide.
C2 - Foul Legacy: Understream
Effect: When opponents affected by Riptide are defeated, Tartaglia regenerates 4 Elemental Energy. Importance: Medium
C2 Childe passive doesn’t add much to his kit unless players unlock his C6. Then, having his Elemental Burst ready every time he uses it to become a crucial part of his kit, which elevate his C2 to become one of his most important Constellations in Genshin Impact.
C4 - Abyssal Mayhem: Hydrospout
Effect: If Tartaglia is in Melee Stance, triggers Riptide Slash against opponents on the field affected by Riptide every 4s, otherwise, triggers Riptide Flash. Riptide Slashes and Riptide Flashes triggered by this Constellation effect are not subject to the time intervals that would typically apply to these two Riptide effects, nor do they have any effect on those time intervals. Importance: Priority
C4 Childe can be deadly if he was in the right hands. This Constellation’s effect adds so much to his kit, it makes him arguably the best AoE DPS in Genshin Impact. The independent Riptide trigger that set Tartaglia’s C4 aside from his actual triggers gives him the ability to actually start chain reactions among his enemies without having Beidou to be in his team composition.
C6 - Havoc: Annihilation
Effect: When Havoc: Obliteration is cast in Melee Stance, the CD of Foul Legacy: Raging Tide is reset. This effect will only take place once Tartaglia returns to his Ranged Stance. Importance: Priority
C6 Childe reset his Elemental Skill’s cooldown when he uses his Burst, which is a massive buff, considering his Skill whopping up to 40 seconds cooldown. Players can benefit from this Constellation to comfortably keep Tartaglia on the field without worrying about his Elemental Skill anymore since his Elemental Burst will always reset it.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
