Dori released in the second half of Genshin Impact’s Version 3.0 and fans who have already acquired her recently noticed a major feature of her Elemental Burst. Dori’s Elemental Burst provides a lingering buff to players, constantly healing them and restoring Energy. Reddit user TrainerCaldwell shared a neat interaction on the Genshin Impact subreddit showing Dori’s Elemental Burst affecting multiple different players in co-op mode. Dori’s multiplayer bonuses are a relatively unique feature with few other characters having strengths specific to co-op mode.

The comments of the post came with many fans discussing both how Dori’s kit fits her demeanor and criticisms of Dori’s effectiveness of a character. While many users felt the unique mechanics of her Burst make her a far stronger character in co-op, some criticized Dori’s values referring to her kit as a “scam,” matching her in-game personality. Fans criticized the high energy cost of her Burst, citing that the character intended to act as an Energy “battery” would need another battery herself.

Dori’s introduction to the game came as part of a trio of new characters added alongside Genshin Impact’s newest region with the other two bringing major new gameplay elements. Tighnari and Collei were introduced as Genshin’s first playable Dendro element characters alongside several new reactions. Many Genshin players have already noticed the strength of Dendro team compositions, with the element becoming a core part of teams focused on its powerful reactions like Quicken and Aggravate.

With Genshin Impact’s Version 3.0 starting to wind down, HoYoVerse has already begun to roll out plenty of details for the game’s next update. The Genshin Impact developer recently announced the broadcast time for Genshin Impact Version 3.1’s Special Program, with leaks suggesting the update will add Sumeru’s desert region. Social media accounts have also previously confirmed multiple characters to feature during the update in Cyno, Nilou, and Candace. Dori’s multiplayer-friendly Elemental Burst should entice co-op players looking to pick her up before Version 3.0 ends.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
