A character called Mika was revealed in the livestream. Not much was said about them, but it’s highly likely that this person will soon be playable in the game.
New Events
As usual with any new Genshin Impact update, version 3.1 will have its own set of events that will earn players some precious Primogems. The four announced events are:
Of Ballads and Brews Wind Chaser Star-Seeker’s Sojourn Hyakunin Ikki
Of Ballads and Brews is the main event of Genshin Impact 3.1, focusing on Razor’s origin story as the Traveler’s adventure takes them all over Mondstadt. Of course, the Of Ballads and Brews event will contain many game modes and gameplays.

Wind Chaser is an event focused on a domain where players have to explore and solve its puzzles. In Star-Seeker’s Sojourn, Travelers will help a girl named Banu search for the future stars. It’s a classic Genshin Impact event that revolves around a gadget that helps players find what they’re missing to finish the quest. Finally, Hyakunin Ikki is an Inazuma challenge event that will make another appearance with more content and characters to try.
New Archon Quest & Story Quest
As expected, Genshin Impact 3.1 will have a new Archon quest that takes the Traveler to the desert of Sumeru. But what was not expected is that there’s another Archon quest after that. These Archon quests seem to carry a lot of lore since the Genshin Impact’s 3.1 livestream showcased some of the most awaited protagonists and antagonists.
For instance, Alhaitham, Cyno, Dehya, Il Dottore, and Scaramouche all made an appearance in the Genshin Impact 3.1 trailer.
In addition to all that, Cyno and Nilou will have their separate Story quests as well.
New Permanent Gameplay - Genius Invokation TCG
Yet, in another surprise, Genshin Impact developer, HoYoverse, announced that a new TCG mode is making its way into Genshin Impact’s universe. The Genius Invokation TCG will be permanent and playable when the update of Genshin Impact 3.3 drops. The footage of the new content looks promising and can add more value to Genshin Impact’s gameplay.

The Genshin Impact team describes the Genius Invokation TCG as a light and casual PVE mode, addressing that players can still go PVP and play against other players but without getting any rewards. So far, it seems like no Gacha elements are involved in this new game mode, as the developers announced all cards will be obtainable via gameplay.
Anime Collaboration - HoYoverse x Ufotable
In very exciting news, HoYoverse announced that they’re teaming up with Ufotable, the studio behind famous anime like Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba and Fate, to produce a new Genshin Impact animation series. The developers didn’t discuss the plot or anything related to the series yet but promised to do so in future updates. It is interesting to see Genshin Impact grow outside its game, and fans are happy and excited to join the ride.
Spiral Abyss Adjustment
Moreover, on Genshin Impact’s 3.1 livestream, Spiral Abyss also got its own adjustment. Players will now get Collei when they finish Floor 4, Chamber 3. Previously, only Xiangling was obtainable via this method, where Travelers must clear Floor 3, Chamber 3 to get the chef.
This Spiral Abyss adjustment ensures that players will have a free Dendro character join their team other than the Dendro Traveler in Genshin Impact. This grants players more variety and choices when creating team compositions that revolve around Dendro reactions in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
