Updated on January 17th, 2022, by Scott Vengel: It has been a long time since fans last visited the Lightning Bottler commission. And while the daily commission has largely remained similar, the Inazuma region that it’s tied to has largely expanded since its first release. Since then, both Seirai and Tsurumi Island have been released to the Genshin Impact community. Given this change, the guide on Lightning Bottler will be updated to include information on the Sangonomiya and Shirikoro Peak variants of the daily commission.
Commissions in Inazuma
There are four choices that players can choose for their four daily commission locations: Liyue, Mondstadt, Inazuma, or Random. These quests help players to increase their reputation in the countr, and completing Complete Chapter II Act I: The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia will allow players to unlock daily commissions in Inazuma. Once players have access to these quests in this location, they will receive four randomized commissions to complete.

Daily Commission Lightning Bottler in Inazuma
If players end up with Lightning Bottler, or any of the other timed collection dailies, they may be wondering just how to complete them. The main idea behind these timed trials in Genshin Impact is for the player to collect 10 particles by running or flying through them before the timer is up. In Mondstadt, there were several of these timed trials that had players collecting Anemo particles while using wind circles, but the ones in Inazuma are going to be a little different.
As Inazuma is the land of thunder, players will need to collect Electro particles by using any level of electrogranum in Lightning Bottler. Players have two minutes, which may look impossible, but is actually quite simple once players take a second to look around.
Watatsumi Island Route
First, start the timer for the trial on Watatsumi Island. The camera will pan up, giving players a glance at the 10 Electro particles they need to collect. Next, touch the electrogranum. A purple-colored glowy line will then connect to the player’s avatar. If playing on PC, players just need to hit the T key in order to fly up the trial’s Electro path. If on PS4 or PS5, players will need to press and hold L1 and then hit Square. Keep pressing the electrogranum interact button until the player is at the top of the waterfall, then open the character’s glider by pressing the jump key (space bar on PC and X on PS4).
Fall slowly down the waterfall with the glider on, collecting all 10 of the Electro particles. This should easily be completed in 2 minutes. If a player accidentally moves past a particle without picking it up, they can ride the electrogranum back up and try again.
Sangonomiya Shrine Route
First, the player will need to locate the timer on a nearby cliff island across from the Sangonomiya Shirne. This can be located on the player’s map. Once the trial starts, the camera will zoom in on a path of floating Electro particles, heading across the drop between the cliff and the Shrine. Players will need to summon a nearby electrogranum in order to teleport across.
Make sure to collect the Electro particles before teleporting to the next waypoint. There are a few scattered Electro particles around the Sangonomiya Shrine, however, it may save some time to fly up to the highest teleport point. Once the player reaches the highest teleport point, they will see a linear path of Electro particles leading down to the shrine. It is possible to collect all of these gliding, which will bring players up to the collection requirement to end the trial. If a few of these are missed, players will need to land on the shrine to grab another Electrogranum in order to teleport to grab all of the leftover particles. Once the player collects 12 particles total, the trial will end.
Shirikoro Peak Route
Once players start the trial at Shirikoro Peak on Tsurumi Island, the camera will zoom in on a winding spiral of teleport points and Electro particles. Players will need to be efficient when completing this version of Lightning Bottler, as it will require a total of 15 particles. First, players will need to locate the Electrograna under the nearby tree. Using this will allow the player to teleport to the waypoints, collecting the first particle. Players will then need to land on the platform just under the first Electro particle. This has a total of four Electro particles. Another Electrograna Bough can be found on this platform, which should be used to extend the time a player can teleport during the task. Continue to teleport upwards, following the path of Electro particles. If players collect all particles on their way up, the trial should end will plenty of time to spare.
These daily commissions require a lot of gliding and awkward angling, so players should not be upset if it takes a few tries to complete each Lightning Bottler commission. One of the best assets a player will have in completing these commissions is patience, carefully collecting each Electro particle before teleporting to the next waypoint in the chain.
Genshin Impact is available for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5.
