How To Defeat Bathysmal Vishap Boss In Genshin Impact
The first thing players need to know is that when the fight starts, the bosses will do the same attack sequences. Both the Rimebiter (Cryo Vishap) and Bolteater (Electro Vishap) do this:
Attack with a Cryo and Electro Cleansing Shower, which will reduce 10 Energy if it hits. If the character has no Energy, its HP will be reduced instead (this effect ignores shield). Jump to the other side of the arena. Attack together by launching Cryo and Electro projectiles for several seconds without moving.
Because they’d always jump to the other side of the arena, players should save their Elemental Burst until the enemy is not moving. The combination of Electro and Cryo will deal Superconduct reaction, but it’s mostly negligible as it doesn’t have any interrupting Crowd Control like Frozen or Electro-Charged.
Afterward, the Electro Vishap will jump to a wall, assisting the Cryo boss from a distance. Players can either use Geo construct to block the Bolteater’s attack, or go to the wall it’s perched on and destroy it. For this, Blunt attacks are more effective than other damage. This includes Claymore attack, Plunging attack, Geo damage, and Explosions (like Klee’s or Yanfei’s attack)
If players choose to destroy the wall, the Vishap will fall and be incapacitated. Use this opportunity to finish the enemy quickly.
If one of the Vishaps is defeated, the two bosses will join together in the middle and do a laser beam across the arena. Afterward, the defeated enemy will jump to the water and start swimming around the arena. In this state, the mob will continue assisting the surviving Vishap with occasional Cryo or Electro attacks.
Party Recommendation For Bathysmal Vishap Herd
There are several things to consider when composing a party to defeat the Bathysmal Vishap:
Since the Bolteater can be really annoying when it’s stuck on a wall, characters that deal Blunt damage are great to have. Units like Eula, Diluc, Arataki Itto, and Ningguang can be viable for this job. Both bosses have 30% Physical Resistance, along with another 30% for their respective Elements. So characters that deal damage other than Physical, Cryo, and Electro can be more effective. Pyro units like Hu Tao, and Diluc or Geo DPS like Itto and Ningguang may result in a faster annihilation. Use characters with high Energy Regeneration or not Burst-reliant. Since the opponents’ skills will drain Energy upon hit, Genshin Impact units that rely on Elemental Burst will find themselves in trouble. So players have to either: Be good at dodging, have a decent battery, or use units that don’t rely on their ultimate. For this, Hu Tao and Ningguang are some easy options. Bring a healer or a shielder. A Genshin Impact shielder will stop incoming interruptions, allowing players to deal damage without any break. Meanwhile, a healer can help if things go south. For this, Diona’s Cryo shield and healing ability can be a brilliant choice. Other than that, of course, Zhongli can ensure the team is always protected.
