Among the first few bosses in the game, Cryo Regisvine is one of them. This boss likely has gotten quite a beating from the Travelers, especially considering how good some Cryo characters are. For example, Genshin Impact Ganyu needs the drop from Cryo Regisvine, along with other characters like Diona, Chongyun, and Kaeya.

Where To Find The Cryo Regisvine
The Cryo Regisvine can be found east of Mondstadt City, right under the Thousand Winds Temple. The easiest way to access this Genshin Impact boss is by teleporting to the nearest domain, then entering the boss fight through one of the two available holes on the ground.
How To Beat The Cryo Regisvine
Cryo Regisvine is a normal boss in Genshin Impact, so it doesn’t have complex mechanics like the weekly boss counterpart. To beat the Cryo Regisvine, players should aim to destroy its weak point. Once this weak point is destroyed, the boss will be paralyzed and lose 100% resistance. 100% is a massive drop, so players should deal as much damage as possible when the boss is paralyzed.
Here’s what Cryo Regisvine’s resistance looks like before and after getting paralyzed:
Initially, the weak point can be found at its root. Afterward, it will move to its corolla, in the middle of its tentacle-like petals.
The weak point works similarly to a Cryo shield, so players should use Pyro to counter it. Other Elements like Anemo, Electro, and Geo also work, but much slower than using fire. If players can’t beat this boss in one cycle, then bringing a Pyro bow user like Amber and Genshin Impact Yoimiya is a great idea. Hitting the weak point at the corolla is possible even without bow characters, but it will take far longer.
If players insist on bringing melee only, then they need to wait for the boss to hit the ground with its “head,” opening the way for people to freely hit the weak point.
Team Recommendation For The Cryo Regisvine
The primary character players should bring against the Cryo Regisvine is obviously a Pyro unit. Most Genshin Impact Pyro characters can work for this job, with the exception of Thoma and Xinyan. Both Thoma and Xinyan have a rather poor Pyro application, so it would take them a while to destroy the boss’ Cryo core. Xiangling is notably very good at destroying the core because her Elemental Burst will consume the weak point’s health on each hit. Guoba will also help with his periodic Pyro damage.
Players should avoid using a Cryo unit against this boss, as even when paralyzed, the enemy has a whopping 70% Cryo RES. Physical is also less effective than the rest of the Elements as the boss has a 30% Physical RES.
