The Frostborn Miracle challenge is the newest phase of Genshin Impact’s Dragonspine event, The Chalk Prince and the Dragon. Battling the Cryo Regisvine can yield rare rewards, like Miraculous Essense and Primogems. Players will have 9 minutes to take out the beast but luckily, it has the same attacks as Mondstadt’s Cryo Regisvine so defeating it shouldn’t be all that difficult, even with the added mechanics unique to the Dragonspine region.

How to Hit the Cryo Regisvine with Scarlet Quartz
Within the Frostborn Miracle challenge in Genshin Impact, there are a number of tasks the player will need to complete to reap the rewards, and some of them need to be completed several times, such as successfully finishing the challenge 10 times. Each task yields 30 Primogems and 20,000 Mora as well as Miraculous Essence.
The challenge itself is fairly simple, but players will need to be wary of the added mechanics to the battle. The Cryo Regisvine will at first be guarded by a shield, which can be broken down by destroying the ice crystals on the edges of the shield. Genshin Impact players can do this by defeating Slimes, which drop Scarlet Quartz.
After the shield is gone, the player will need to defeat the Regisvine like normal while keeping in mind the new Sheer Cold factor of Dragonspine. To hit it 10 times with Scarlet Quartzes, Slimes will continue to drop it as well as the Regisvine itself, notably when its power is depleted. Each time the enemy is hit with a Scarlet Quartz, it will disappear and a new one must be collected. The Scarlet Quartz will offer a slight damage buff, and it’ll drop many throughout the fight, so completing this objective is straightforward.
Frostborn Miracle Bugs
Many players are reporting having completed this objective many times, where they count hitting the Cryo Regisvine with Scarlet Quartzes up to 30 times, but the task won’t mark itself as completed. Other bugs for Genshin Impact’s Frostborn Miracle challenge have been reported as well, such as the shield not disappearing or Slimes not dropping Scarlet Quartz at all.
For some players, restarting Genshin Impact and trying the challenge again works and for others, it doesn’t. Some report it working while in co-op mode. Whatever the case, it may be a matter of MiHoYo releasing a patch before all players are able to complete this objective.
Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
