One of the main methods that Genshin Impact players are able to gauge how well their realm is operating within the housing system is via the Adeptal Energy Rank. Not to be confused with the Trust Rank- which gauges player’s relationship with Tubby- the Adeptal Energy Rank can be viewed in the Trust Rank hub underneath Highest Adeptal Energy.

There are a total of 10 ranks that players can achieve in the housing system, ranging from Bare-Bones to Luxury. To increase the Adeptal Energy Level players must reach a required amount of Adeptal Energy within their realm.
As players increase their Adeptal Energy rank, the rate at which they accumulate Realm Currency will also increase. This currency can then be used to purchase additional blueprints from Tubby which will grant players access to additional structures that can be built.
Simply put, players are able to increase their Adeptal Energy Rank by placing more items in their world. When players open up the option to place items, in the top right-hand corner of the screen they will see a number displayed next to a small icon of Tubby that represents the total Adeptal Energy being generated in their realm. Trust Rank, on the other hand, is gained via crafting new furniture or structures for the first time.
From the placing interface, each item that players can place in their world will also have the same icon of Tubby with a number next to it that represents how much Adeptal Energy will be generated from placing that item. Adeptal Energy varies depending on the item, with large structures like buildings generating the most amount of energy, and smaller items such as trees or rocks generating a smaller amount.
Although the smaller items that players can place in their realm may have a significantly reduced energy output, when there are multiple smaller items placed within a realm the energy output can be significant. As a result, while it may be enticing to prioritize farming materials to build large structures, players looking to maximize their Adeptal Energy and Realm Currency output shouldn’t avoid smaller items like rocks and trees.
While this may all sound confusing at first, as players progress through the housing system they will quickly realize how simple it is to passively earn rewards through their realm.
Genshin Impact is available for Mobile, PC, and PS4, with PS5 and Switch versions in development.
