Updated May 12th, 2021 by Greysun Morales: On April 27 of 2021, Genshin Impact released its version 1.5 update that many fans have been waiting patiently for. For starters, the update added the Serenitea Pot, which allows players the chance to make their own private realms and craft furniture and other items to make it their own. Version 1.5 also added some new characters into the mix. Eula, a Cryo character, is a member of the Knights of Favonius, and then there’s Yanfei, a Pyro character. Alongside those additions, miHoYo also added new quests, enemies, and even some recipes for players to sink their teeth into.
By increasing the Friendship levels in Genshin Impact, players will be able to unlock character namecards and special voice lines. Some of these unlockables even require fans to get the Friendship level to 10, which can take some time.

How to Increase Friendship Level in Genshin Impact
To increase Friendship, players will need to obtain Companionship EXP, which is an item that can be used on characters. These can be earned by completing certain missions scattered around the map, such as courtyards and temples. The higher the domain level, the rarer the rewards are.
By logging into Genshin Impact every day, players can also earn Companionship EXP by claiming the daily commission reward or the Adventure Rank rewards. However, if players are looking for an even faster method to getting those Friendship levels up, there is a little trick that’ll surely help players.
World Events are other occasions when players can earn Companionship EXP, and they happen randomly across the world. There is a way to force them to trigger though, and it involves logging out and then logging back into the game.
If players head to this certain spot in Luhua, they can trigger an event that’ll require them to defeat some enemies. Players can receive rewards for this quest up to 10 times per day, so it can be repeated over and over to get a ton of Companionship EXP to raise Friendship levels.
As long as players log off the game and then return to that same spot, the world event should trigger. This method might be a bit monotonous or repetitive, but it is a sure-fire way to get that precious EXP that players are seeking. Some of the temple and courtyard missions can help to gain this EXP, but there are some level limitations in play that won’t allow players to try them out until a certain Adventure Rank is reached.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch port is currently in development.
