Can You Rename Your Scaramouche (Wanderer) In Genshin Impact?
Yes, players can rename their Scaramouche (Wanderer) after finishing the Archon Quest Interlude: Inversion of Genesis. At the end of the Archon Quest, the ex-Fatui no longer wants to be addressed by his old name, so Nahida comes up with the idea to let the Traveler picks a name for him.
How To Rename Your Scaramouche (Wanderer) In Genshin Impact
To rename Scaramouche (Wanderer) in Genshin Impact, players must first read the rules and remember not to use names that are forbidden. Afterward, simply type in a new name for the character.
Here are some things people want to keep in mind:
Players can’t use Scaramouche’s old names. This includes aliases like Scaramouche, Balladeer, Kunikuzushi, and Kabukimono. No “space” is allowed. Wanderer can’t bear playable characters’ names, or Paimon’s. Fatui Harbingers’ names won’t be accepted. Some other names like Morax also won’t work, although Barbatos is available.
Scaramouche will have different responses if players try to name him with names that he won’t accept.
Scaramouche’s old name: “…Hmph. I have no need for these names anymore. " Playable character’s name or Paimon: “That won’t work. " Fatui Harbinger’s name: “You can’t be serious,” or “Is this supposed to be your attempt at a joke?”
Despite all that, players can still use names like Fatui, Scara, Ei, Raiden, or Kusanali. Travelers can even give Scaramouche the same name as theirs, to which he will respond with, “You want to share your name with me? Huh, not a bad choice.”
After giving Scaramouche his new name, at the end of Genshin Impact’s Archon Quest, players will get an item, An Appellative Stroke. This can be found in the “Precious Items” section of the Inventory. Using this item allows players to change the Wanderer’s name for the second and last time. After this, there can’t be any additional rename for Scaramouche, so use it with caution.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
