Genshin Impact: Solve the Riddle at the Altar in the Serpent’s Heart

The first step toward completing this quest objective is interacting with the device near the Teleport Waypoint in Serpent’s Heart in order to switch to Evernight. This action will cause a series of translucent blue gateways to appear in the center of the area, and players should situate themselves in the middle of them. Genshin Impact fans should then look at the ground, paying careful attention to the sigils and small triangles that are found there.

With respect to the sigils that players will see on the ground, those match the sigils that are on the aforementioned blue gateways. The triangles that appear on the ground next to those sigils indicate the order in which Genshin Impact characters are to pass through the gateways. More specifically, fans should first pass through the gateways with the sigil that is marked by one triangle, then the gateway with the sigil that is marked by two triangles, then the gateway with the sigil that is marked by three triangles, and so forth.

To note, the correct order for passing through the gateways seems to be the same for all players. That order can be seen demonstrated in the video that is featured above, and fans should be able to solve the riddle at the altar in the Serpent’s Heart simply by replicating it. If that does not work, players will need to follow the notations on the ground, as per the instructions in the preceding paragraph, to reach the next step in this Genshin Impact 2.4 quest.

For those fans that may be curious about that next step, it is to obtain the fragment of the Reins of Revival. This is one of the three fragments in Genshin Impact that must be collected for the Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpent World Quest, and it is looted from the chest that will appear in the middle of the blue gateways. With that fragment in hand, players will be free to continue their explorations of Enkanomiya.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
