Additionally, the doors are blocked by some kind of mechanism that requires a bit of puzzle-solving to unlock. The article below will guide Travelers on how to open the City of the Deceased Domain in Genshin Impact.

Next, fly northeast from the cliff to the desert path ahead. By looking down, Travelers will find the entrance that leads to the underground. Upon entering, beware of the group of enemies, a few Fungi and a Ruin Guard, guarding a Common Chest at the beginning of the slope. Keep going down the slope to find the City of Deceased Domain.

The Suspiration of the Deceased or the City of the Deceased is a one-time Domain in Genshin Impact that rewards the following items:

Primogems x40 Dendro Sigil x5 4-star Desert Pavilion Chronicle Artifact Guide to Praxis x2 Hero’s Wits x3 Enhancement Ore x5 Mora x45,000

How To Unlock The City Of The Deceased Domain In Genshin Impact

To unlock the City of the Deceased Domain in Genshin Impact, it’s crucial that players complete a Pyro torch puzzle near the Domain. Upon finding the City of Deceased, the mechanism that activates it is surrounded by a red seal, forbidding players to interact with it.

On closer inspection, the Domain seems to be surrounded by unlit torches. Two can be seen on both sides of the buried Domain; one is behind the sealed mechanism and the second is on the other side.

The remaining two are directly across the Domain. To light them and release the seal blocking the mechanism, switch to any Pyro unit in Genshin Impact and light all four of them. Fortunately, the torches don’t have to be lit in a specific order, so randomly lighting them is fine. Also, using a Pyro Bow user would definitely be beneficial, as Travelers can hit the faraway torches from a distance.

Once all four Pyro torches are activated, the seal that’s blocking the mechanism will be broken. Interacting with the latter will force the City of the Deceased Domain to rise from the ground and reward a Common Chest in Genshin Impact that contains two Primogems, one Dendro Sigil, and some other rewards.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
