Even without Critical hits, the Divine Priestess can still deal okay damage during her Elemental Burst. However, she requires field time for this role, and many players think that she’s not worth the DPS loss. Everyone can agree that Kokomi is an amazing healer, but it is often not needed, due to how much she over-heals.

This is likely why Genshin Impact released a new artifact a while after. This set, Ocean-Hued Clam, scales with healing (and over-healing). Therefore, it seems to have the potential to take Kokomi’s damage to another level. If it works, she can remain an amazing healer while maintaining great on-field and off-field DPS. In theory, this set should make Kokomi a more viable and complete option.
So, how does Ocean-Hued Clam fare in terms of Sangonomiya Kokomi’s overall DPS?
Is Ocean-Hued Clam Better Than Heart Of Depths For Kokomi In Genshin Impact?
When it comes to Ocean-Hued Clam VS Heart of Depths for Kokomi, the winner is easily the former.
Ocean-Hued Clam increases Kokomi’s off-field damage by around 50%. As for on-field damage, the increase isn’t as dramatic, but still highly notable. If the Priestess is using Everlasting Moonglow, Kokomi’s on-field DPS increases by around 20%.
However, the increase isn’t as high if players are using offensive Catalysts like Skyward Atlas (less than 10% increase). With it, Kokomi is better on ATK% Timepiece as opposed to HP%. This shows that the weapon doesn’t rely on healing for its damage dealing.
Nevertheless, in all cases, the new Genshin Impact artifact set managed to boost her performance. This means that Ocean-Hued Clam is the obvious go-to for Kokomi, where it completely shadowed the former best-in-slot offensive set, 4-Heart of Depths.
Is HP Better Than Attack Or Hydro Bonus For Kokomi In Genshin Impact?
Previously, if Travelers are using Sangonomiya Kokomi as the Main DPS, Attack/Hydro DMG Bonus/Healing Bonus is better than HP/Hydro DMG Bonus/Healing Bonus. However, as Ocean-Hued Clam’s damage scales with Kokomi’s healing, HP/Hydro DMG Bonus/Healing Bonus is the better option, both for Main DPS or off-field damage dealing.
But, if players are having trouble getting the correct Main Stat for Kokomi, they can opt for these alternatives:
Main DPS: Attack/Hydro DMG Bonus/Healing Bonus Off-field damage dealer: HP/HP/Healing Bonus
It is also worth noting that if players are using Skyward Atlas for Main DPS Kokomi, Attack/Hydro DMG Bonus/Healing Bonus performs better than its HP counterpart. The difference is minuscule, but it gives flexibility to Kokomi’s builds.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development but a release date has yet to be confirmed.
