Each Genshin Impact update has its beta phase which contains most of the upcoming content. The beta data usually gets leaked which gives players more information about new characters weeks before their official arrival.

At the moment, Nahida is a quest-exclusive NPC who plays a major role in the Sumeru quest line. She is the new Dendro Archon who serves as the main protector of the new major region. One of the most popular Genshin Impact leakers named Ubacha1 has posted a video showing Nahida’s elemental skill in action. Her elemental skill has a press and a hold variation which have different effects. Tapping her elemental skill will cause Nahida to deal AoE damage and mark her opponents with an effect called Seed of Sandha. This effect will cause marked enemies to be linked to one another.
After players trigger Dendro elemental reactions to the linked enemies, Nahida will unleash another effect named Tri-Karma Purification dealing Dendro damage based on her Attack and Elemental Mastery to all linked opponents. Holding her elemental skill will cause Nahida to enter Aiming Mode in which players can select a limited number of opponents, deal Dendro damage to them, and mark them with the Seed of Skandha effect. This mode can last up to five seconds and players are allowed to select eight different enemies.
Another popular leaker named Sagiri has posted Nahida’s elemental burst animation which caught even more attention in the community. Players claim that Nahida’s elemental burst has one of the largest areas of effects in the game as it can take up the whole Spiral Abyss stage. On top of that, multiple replies in the comment section have stated that she has the most beautiful elemental bust animation in Genshin Impact.
Nahida’s elemental burst will spawn a Shrine of Maya field which will have different effects based on Elemental Types present in the party. The field can correspond with three elements, Pyro, Electro and Hydro, which makes Nahida one of the most flexible supports in the game. She is expected to arrive on first the banner cycle for Genshin Impact update 3.2 which is scheduled for November 7.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
