With each new Genshin Impact update there are also new playable characters. However, as the number of players characters expand, so does the number of different enemies. It seems like the Treasure Hoarders will welcome another member to their family.

The Treasure Hoarders are one of the enemy types in the game players usually have no problems with. Treasure Hoarders are an organization of bandits searching for treasures to claim for themselves and they are spread across all of Teyvat, especially in the fan-favorite Liyue region. A recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed another upcoming Treasure Hoarder enemy, which according to a popular leaker Ubatcha1 will be named Treasure Hoarder Elite.

The new enemy will apparently have the ability to throw an ax that will be easily dodgeable. Even though they will have a lot of HP, they should be fairly easy to beat. Adding new enemies is usually welcomed by the community, though most of the community agrees that the new Rifthound enemies are probably one of the worst additions miHoYo has ever made to the game. They are especially hard to beat with melee characters, and it should be noted that only bow and catalyst users are ranged. Their constant jumping makes it almost impossible for players to land their damage burst. On top of that, they have a massive health pool and are impossible to group up, even with strong supports.

A post by another leaker has revealed the model for a new Boss domain. The Oceanic Defender, also known as Osial, has brought one of the most exciting boss fights in the game’s story so far. This five-head beast was defeated by Liyue’s heroes after Childe broke the legendary seal. Osial has become somewhat forgotten after it got crushed by the Jade Chamber, but it seems like miHoYo may decide to bring back the legendary monster.

The Oceanic Defender will most likely arrive alongside the new region Enkanomiya in the two upcoming updates. According to multiple leaks, the new region will work similarly to Dragonspine, which has multiple playable layers of terrain. The new location seems to be located to the west of Watatsumi beyond the Sangonomiya shrine. Other rumors suggest that it could be a separate map layer that can be accessed only for a limited time. Regardless, plans can expect to fight the Treasure Hoarder Elite enemy type very soon.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, and a Nintendo Switch version in development.
