To get started on this latest Genshin Impact event, the entrance to the Peculiar Wonderland can be found on a cliff formation overlooking Mondstadt from the east, just north of the bridge leading into the city at the edge of the “Whispering Woods” area. It can be located easily by prompting navigation from the Peculiar Wonderland page under “Invitation of Windblume” in the Events Overview menu.

On this page, players can also get a glimpse of the rewards offered to those who collect a special currency from the Peculiar Wonderland. The Peculiar Collab Coupons earned from the challenge can be traded for such items as the Windblume Ode bow weapon, a special Refinement Material, and a wide assortment of other Weapon Ascension Materials.
As for what actually awaits within the domain, players will have to complete a series of peculiar challenges and then fight a boss in the final chamber. There are four tiers of the Peculiar Wonderland that will become available to complete as the event progresses with real-world time, and each tier features a different boss. Collecting flowers or flower crowns during the challenges prior to the boss fight will raise the player’s Facundity, which ultimately translates into party buffs that will be carried into the boss fight and make it much more manageable to clear.
Which Peculiar Challenges a player will have to overcome will be randomized each time they attempt the domain. A list of the possible challenges and some tips on scoring highly can be found below, but it should be noted that additional Peculiar Challenges will be added later during the Windblume Festival and will not be found in this guide.
Stepping Stone Antics
The player will find themselves on a large mid-air platform made up of many blocks. A number of the blocks will start to judder, before collapsing a few seconds later. Players will have to find a safe place to stand among the wobbling blocks. The floor will soon reform, and flowers will spawn across the platform. Collecting them will raise Facundity, but some awareness is necessary as the blocks will quickly start to wobble and fall again. If the player falls below the platform, the challenge ends immediately and Facundity decreases. Surviving until the time limit runs out is the only way to retain the full amount of collected Facundity.
Windblume Blessing
This challenge takes place in a square-shaped room in which flowers and crowns will slowly fall from above. The player must simply collect enough crown points by touching the flowers before they hit the ground and disappear. However, some flowers will change color to an intimidating red. These tricky flowers will explode on touch, reducing Facundity. One way to make easier work of this task is to use a character like Venti, or anyone else who can put the player at a higher elevation. Being in the air is an efficient way to grab more flowers before they disappear, and frequently performing helpful Elemental Skills should be a breeze since the flowers and crowns seem to replenish some energy on touch.
Barrage Minuet
Once again, the objective is to collect flowers. The catch is that a monolith in the center of the circular arena will be emitting ground-based projectiles the entire time. This tactic should be familiar to players who have frequently battled against the Electro Hypostasis. One handy tip that a player may not think of during the intensity of this challenge is that it’s possible to simply jump over the projectiles. In fact, later in the challenge, the monolith will launch a full circular blast that must be jumped over.
The Great Bubble Crash
This is a running game in which the player must proceed down a hallway while collecting flowers and avoiding oncoming bubbles. This should be a simple task, but the bubbles can frustratingly immobilize the player and sap their Facundity if they make contact. In a desperate situation, it’s possible to duck into one of the nooks along the sides of the hall when there’s no other way to dodge.
One-Way Traffic
The player will find themselves before a grid made up of many tiles. Close attention needs to be paid, as a series of tiles will light up to form a path. The pattern must be memorized, and the player will have to attempt to follow the path after the light fades. Taking a wrong step will mean starting over from the beginning of the challenge and losing Facundity. There are also flowers to collect in this challenge, but their positions must also be memorized. They will be suspended in the air, so a player who remembers their positions should jump at the appropriate spots along the path to collect them if they wish to increase Facundity.
Bubble Speedster
This challenge can be thought of as a “hard mode” for The Great Bubble Crash. It was added to the roster of available challenges sometime after the Windblume Festival kicked off, so it could be an indication that all additional challenges will be a “hard mode” of those available in the first wave. For the sake of this challenge, however, it will be more important than ever to take note of where the safe nooks are. Frequent sprinting is also important, so players who are struggling with this challenge could consider using a character such as Razor who reduces the amount of stamina needed to sprint.
The Peculiar Wonderland is just one facet of the broad Windblume Festival event. Beyond even that, there is much more for players to do in Genshin Impact Version 1.4. There are new characters and story quests to look forward to, as well as a series of visual novel style Hangout quests that expand upon the personalities of already beloved characters.
Genshin Impact is available for Mobile, PC, and PS4, with PS5 and Switch versions in development.
