Primo Geovishap is a powerful boss monster in Genshin Impact that threatens the Tianqui Valley region. This enemy can also change into multiple elements, varying from Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo. Genshin Impact players can tell what Primo Geovishap’s current element type is by using the glowing color as an indicator.

Fighting the Primo Geovishap unlocks a bounty of items, including the chance to get a Juvenile Jade, which is required as an ascension material for Xiao in Genshin Impact. So for players hoping to score a good reward and add Xiao to their team, here is a good guide on approaching the fight.
To start the Genshin Impact quest, players have to open their event panel and find the “Even Mountains Tremble” quest. By clicking the “Go To Investigate” option within the menu, a quest marker will appear on the map to point to the Liyue Harbor area. Once there, an NPC will talk about the number of earthquakes that have been happening. After the conversation is over, the Primo Geovishap’s location will be marked on the player’s map.
Luckily for the player, Primo Geovishap’s attacks are straightforward to dodge since they are extremely telegraphed. Some of the moves that Primo Geovishap has are:
Three-Hit Combo: Primo Geovishap will attack with two quick jabs, ending with an AoE attack that hits the area in front of it. Geovishap Breath: Sometimes, Primo Geovishap will just an elemental flame shaped as a frontal cone out of its mouth. The boss will always roar first before doing this, so make sure to pay attention to this and get ready to dodge. Stalagmites: Occasionally, it will also shot multiple elemental spikes out of its back that will land on the ground and explode after some time. Keep moving and make sure to stay clear from the blast radius. Jaws: If the player is too far away from Primo Geovishap, it will dig underground and charge. Before attacking, it will jump out of the ground before doing an AoE frontal smash, so wait for this before evading.
Primo Geovishap has a mighty move called “Primordial Shower” that’ll deal massive damage if not shielded. The best way to defend from this attack is to pick up a shield crystal. Primo Geovishap will sometimes drop one, but players can bring any Geo elemental characters in Genshin Impact themselves if they want to play it safer. It is also important to note that countering the Primordial Shower move with an elemental shield will unlock an achievement.
For the first time, the reward for defeating Primo Geovishap is some Hero’s Wit, Primogems, Mystic Enhancement Ores, and Gold. Hopefully, this guide helped players with the boss fight ahead.
