While there are a lot of characters players want the option to pull for again, one name certainly stands out. Inazuma’s Archon, Raiden Shogun, has been on the wishlist for most Genshin Impact players who didn’t get to acquire her during the first run.

Genshin Impact leaker Ubatcha1 has posted a tweet about the return of the fan-favorite Raiden Shogun. They claim that she is expected to appear again in update 2.5 which, according to miHoYo’s usual schedule, should arrive around February 20. Five-star characters usually receive a re-run five updates after their initial release. Raiden Shogun arrived with Version 2.0 which means that players could face another Genshin Impact banner re-run.
Since her arrival back in update 2.1, Raiden Shogun has topped every chart that displays the most pulled character in the game. Raiden is considered to be a very strong support character in Genshin Impact at the moment, on par with Zhongli, Venti and Kazuha. She provides numerous buffs even while not being used which is good for the majority of team compositions.
Most five-stars are required to be pulled numerous times to build up their constellations in order to awake their full potential, like Xiao or Childe. Luckily that is not the case with Raiden Shogun since the difference between C0 and C6 is not as big for her, like most other characters. Her biggest asset is probably that she is probably the most free-to-play friendly five-star character in Gesnhin Impact since she’s a top-tier support even at zero constellations.
Rumors have also been hinting that Raiden could be joined by another popular Genshin Impact character Yae Miko who’s also been predicted to be a part of the same update. This also makes sense story-wise considering that these two characters are very close in the game’s lore. Yae Miko has quickly become a fan-favorite since her appearance in update trailers for 2.0 and 2.1 which made clear that she would be a part of the following updates. Rumors have been hinting that she will be a very strong DPS character.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
