Talking about scaling, Jean’s DMG, healing, and other utilities all scale with her ATK%. The more ATK she has, the better her performance is. Of course, to maximize her usefulness, players should build her properly by giving her a good sword with the right set of artifacts.
6 Favonius Sword
Primary Stat: 454 Base ATK Secondary Stat: 61. 3% Energy Recharge R5 Effect: CRIT hits have a 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 6s.
Most supports in Genshin Impact would gladly wield a Favonius weapon. Similar to Sacrificial Sword, Favonius Sword also grants Energy Recharge and the ability to support the team’s Energy regeneration. The only downside of Favonius Sword is that some CRIT Rate is required for Jean to trigger the weapon’s passive.
5 Sacrificial Sword
Primary Stat: 454 Base ATK Secondary Stat: 61. 3% Energy Recharge R5 Effect: After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 80% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 16s.

Not only does Sacrificial Sword help Jean regens her Burst faster, but it also allows her to proc Viridescent Venerer’s effect more often. Sacrificial Sword also transforms Jean into a decent Genshin Impact battery for other Anemo characters.
4 Festering Desire
Primary Stat: 510 Base ATK Secondary Stat: 45. 9% Energy Recharge R5 Effect: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 32% and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 12%.
Same as Amenoma Kageuchi, Festering Desire is another F2P weapon that can help Jean cast her Elemental Burst more often by granting her a decent amount of Energy Recharge. It’s not as effective as Amenoma but still can get the job done. Festering Desire puts up some hard hit on Jean’s Elemental Skill, increasing Gale Blade’s DMG and CRIT Rate.
3 Amenoma Kageuchi
Primary Stat: 454 Base ATK Secondary Stat: 55. 1% ATK R5 Effect: After casting an Elemental Skill, gain 1 Succession Seed. This effect can be triggered once every 5s. The Succession Seed lasts for 30s. Up to 3 Succession Seeds may exist simultaneously. After using an Elemental Burst, all Succession Seeds are consumed and after 2s, the character regenerates 12 Energy for each seed consumed.

Amenoma Kageuchi is Jean’s best Forgeable weapon in Genshin Impact. The 4-star weapon turns Jean’s Elemental Burst into an Energy-less move. That’s because every time Jean casts Elemental Skill, she will stack a Succession Seed (up to three). Then, when she unleashes her Bursts, these Succession Seeds will help her refill it easily. It’s important to note that when using Amenoma Kageuchi, players have to keep switching Jean in every few seconds to cast her Skill and build the stacks that will eventually refill her Elemental Burst.
2 Freedom-Sworn
Primary Stat: 608 Base ATK Secondary Stat: 198 Elemental Mastery Effect: Increases DMG by 10%. When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0. 5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” for 12s. “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” increases Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 16% and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20s. Of the many effects of the “Millennial Movement,” buffs of the same type will not stack.
As an Anemo user in Genshin Impact, Jean can operate as a full support, by equipping 4-Viridescent Venerer. Jean’s role turns into constantly triggering Swirl to shred enemies’ resistance. To fully transition into the supportive role, Jean needs to have buffs and Elemental Mastery, in addition to attack for keeping her healing working effectively. 1 Primordial Jade Cutter
Primary Stats: 542 Base ATK Secondary Stats: 44. 1% CRIT Rate Effect: HP increased by 20%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 1. 2% of the wielder’s Max HP.
What makes Primordial Jade Cutter the best weapon for Jean is its passive effect that grants Jean an ATK% boost based on her HP. That boost will benefit her healing abilities. Clearly, Primordial Jade has a massive CRIT Rate substat that helps Jean inflict more DMG when casting her Elemental Skill and Burst. It’s a well-rounded sword that fits Jean’s kit perfectly.
