Nevertheless, like any Genshin Impact character, a unit can shine if used properly. As for Kujou Sara, it’s best if players focus on enhancing her supportive abilities, or, at most, making her a sub-DPS. Meanwhile, playing the Tengu Warrior as the main DPS is often frowned upon. When building Kujou Sara in the two recommended roles, players may want to opt for these Genshin Impact weapons.

Kujou Sara’s Best Bow For Support Build

Kujou Sara shines best as a buffer, where her role mainly focuses on the utility she can bring to the team. Her work mostly involves enhancing the damage dealer’s DPS. For support build Kujou Sara, these bows are the best options.

Elegy for the End

Elegy for the End is the best supportive bow Kujou Sara can wield. Its Energy Recharge (ER) sub-stat will enhance her second passive (fourth ascension), which regenerates 1.2 Energy to the whole party for every 100% ER she has. The Shogun General can also easily trigger the weapon’s passive, which grants 100 Elemental Mastery (EM) and 20% ATK to the team once it’s activated. All in all, Elegy for the End will enhance Kujou Sara’s supportive qualities while adding to the buff she provides at the same time.

Skyward Harp

While Skyward Harp is more on the offensive side, this weapon can still be a great alternative if players do not own Elegy for the End. Although Sara won’t be benefiting often from the weapon’s Critical Rate stat, Skyward Harp’s high base attack is excellent for Kujou Sara. The Tengu Warrior’s attack buff scales with her base attack, so using Skyward Harp will lead to a higher buff compared to Elegy for the End.

If players are building Kujou Sara as a sub-DPS, Skyward Harp places third under Polar Star and Thundering Pulse.

Favonius Warbow

Unlike Skyward Harp, Favonius Warbow has a low base attack, which means Kujou Sara’s attack buff will be lower with this bow. Nevertheless, the Favonius series is known to be one of the best supportive weapons, where periodically, Kujou Sara will generate Elemental Particles when she inflicts a Critical hit. Of course, the bow’s ER sub-stat also means her fourth ascension passive will be boosted, making her an even better Battery in Genshin Impact.

Sacrificial Bow

Sacrificial Bow’s passive may seem great to reset Kujou Sara’s Skill cooldown, but, considering she needs to be on the field to trigger this effect, players will rarely find themselves actually using the weapon’s passive, assuming they do at all. Luckily, though, Sacrificial Bow is still a great weapon for Kujou Sara for a few different reasons. First, this bow has a high base attack, far higher than Favonius Warbow. Secondly, it has Energy Recharge as its sub-stat.

Kujou Sara’s Best Bow For Sub-DPS Build

If players are already happy with the buff Kujou Sara provides and do not care about her Energy regeneration capabilities, then they can instead opt to build the Tengu Warrior as a Genshin Impact sub-DPS. For this role, Sara will be wielding bows with offensive stats.

Polar Star

Before Polar Star was released, Thundering Pulse was the best option for sub-DPS Kujou Sara. However, as Polar Star enhances Skill and Burst damage as opposed to boosting Normal attack like Thundering Pulse, sub-DPS Kujou Sara will benefit far more from Polar Star’s passive. Players can easily maintain two to three stacks with Polar Star if they stick to a certain rotation with the Tengu Warrior.

Thundering Pulse

Even though its passive is not so good for Kujou Sara, Thundering Pulse is still a great option for an offense build. This weapon is even viable for a DPS build, although building Kujou Sara as the main damage dealer is far from recommended.

This bow may be overshadowed by the Childe’s best-in-slot, but one part Thundering Pulse does better than Polar Star is the aesthetic it’ll provide to the Inazuma general.

Mouun’s Moon

Released one version after Kujou Sara herself, Mouun’s Moon and two other weapons of the Watatsumi series enter the roster of Genshin Impact weapons. All Watatsumi weapons have the same passive; gain 0.12% Elemental Burst damage for every point of the party’s combined maximum Energy capacity (Max 40%).

This means that if Kujou Sara is paired, with, let’s say, Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko, and Keqing, then the total Energy capacity is 300 (80 + 90 + 90 + 40), which leads to a 36% Elemental Burst damage bonus. This large boost to Kujou Sara’s Elemental Burst damage will eventually be a great addition to her sub-DPS potential.

Alley Hunter

Alley Hunter is an excellent weapon for units that stays off-field most of the time. Other than its high base attack and attack sub, Alley Hunter provides a 20-40% damage buff if Kujou Sara doesn’t take over 4s field time.

One downside to this bow, though, is that it’s only available on the weapon banner. So, unless players are pulling when Alley Hunter is featured, they may find it hard to get their hands on one.

The Viridescent Hunt

Of course, the Battle Pass weapon made it to the list as one of the best offensive bows for Kujou Sara. Just like other premium weapons, Viridescent Hunt offers easy access to Critical Rate, a stat that’s highly desired for a damage build. Even if Travelers completely ignore the bow’s passive, Viridescent Hunt’s primary and secondary stat is still good enough to boost Kujou Sara’s DPS.

Blackcliff Warbow

Lastly, to complement Viridescent Hunt and its Critical Rate sub-stat, comes Blackcliff Warbow with Critical Damage. This weapon will grant a 12% attack for Kujou Sara when she defeats an enemy, but, as it’s highly unlikely, players can forget about its passive as a whole. They needn’t worry, though, as even when the delicious 36% attack addition is ignored, Blackcliff Warbow still proves to be effective on Kujou Sara due to its base attack and sub-stat.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
