Players will only have access to the Seventh Samurai quest after completing the Tatara Tales questline. Travelers with a keen memory will remember that they had to observe the Mikage Furnace for the first world quest in this series. After completing each quest in the Tatara Tales, gamers have to wait a full real-life day to proceed to the next quest. This means that quite some time will have passed for players who have made it to the end. After completing Tatara Tales: The Last Act, fans can finally find the Seventh Samurai world quest.

How To Complete The Seventh Samurai Quest In Genshin Impact
After completing the prerequisite quests in the Tatara Tales series, players can pick up the Seventh Samurai quest from Xavier on an island east of Inazuma City. Since real-world time must pass between each step in the Tatara Tales storyline, a week or more will have passed since the player was first able to get to Inazuma by the time they reach this quest.
Upon speaking to Xavier, the Traveler will learn that he is in the process of recording a swashbuckler film. The current talent at his disposal isn’t getting the job done, so the player will get a chance to stand in for the filming process. To complete the scene, players must defeat 3 bandits and change position 3 times. Changing position is as simple as standing in the three different marked spots on the scene. This can even be done after eliminating the bandits.
The most important caveat for this quest is that the player must not leave the recording area. This is clearly defined by a circular translucent barrier. Excessive sprinting or being knocked back can cause player characters to slip outside this area and fail the filming attempt.
The best way to circumvent this challenge is to defeat the bandits quickly before anything unfortunate happens. Strong Electro element characters are usually the best option during Inazuma quests, though it should be noted that there’s no place to summon an Electrograna on the film set.
Completing the Seventh Samurai quest will earn the player 30 primogems and other minor rewards. For those who have managed to unlock Inazuma reputation, completion of this quest will also yield some reputation points.
While this quest is unusual compared to quests that players have previously completed in Genshin Impact, it’s possible to see similar inventions at play when fans someday visit Xavier’s homeland of Fontaine in a future expansion.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version in development.
