To gain access to the event, players must first reach AR 20 and travel to Liyue Harbor to speak with Katheryne at the Adventurer Guild. After speaking with Katheryne, players will now have access to the “Vishaps and Where to Find Them” event hub.

The “Vishaps and Where to Find Them” event operates in a similar manner to the standard expeditions available in the game. Players are able to earn rewards by sending a group of four party members on investigations that reward primogems, talent materials, and weapon materials.
During the event, players can only complete a maximum of four investigations each day. As a result, players should prioritize what investigations they send their party members on based on the potential rewards available. It is also worth noting that the event only lasts for seven days, so players should make sure they are reaching the maximum allotment of investigations each day.
From the event menu, players will notice the map is divided by several nodes, each with a corresponding rank attached to it (S rank, A rank, B rank). Rewards increase depending on the investigation’s rank so it is recommended that players prioritize S rank investigations as they reward double the primogems.
Players must add a minimum of two or a maximum of four party members in order to start the investigation. For each party member added to the investigation, the Bonus Reward chance will increase depending on the character’s Ascension rank.
Additionally, players are also able to add one character from their friend’s roster to support the investigation. When choosing a team to send on each investigation the goal for players should be to maximize their Bonus Reward as close to 100% as possible.
As players complete the investigations they will unlock daily bounties that require them to travels to specific locations on the map and defeat Geovishaps. Like the investigations, completing these bounties will also reward primogems in addition to character, talent, and weapon leveling materials.
While the “Vishaps and Where To Find Them” event may not be as fleshed out as anything experienced during the Lantern Rite Festival, it serves as a nice distraction as players await the reveal of the 1.4 update.
Genshin Impact is available now on PC, Mobile, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
