Given the game’s initial success, miHoYo recently unveiled its plans for the future of Genshin Impact. Based on what the developer has revealed so far, it appears that players should see huge changes in the game, especially since miHoYo is planning to support Genshin Impact in the long-run. Now, for Genshin Impact players who are interested in what’s in store for the game, here is everything players should expect in Genshin Impact’s November and December updates.

Genshin Impact November Update
In the roadmap released by miHoYo earlier this month, the developer revealed that Genshin Impact’s update 1.1 will be released on November 11. The studio also stated that the team encountered various problems in Genshin Impact following its launch, and the upcoming update will fix most of the bugs that the team did not anticipate. Some of the problems players encountered in Genshin Impact included “all kinds of stuck problems, attack plug-ins, abnormal battles, and many more.” Of course, the existence of these bugs in Genshin Impact prevented some players from enjoying new festivals, given that the studio wasn’t able to finish arranging them until October 1.
Additionally, miHoYo confirmed that the content of Genshin Impact’s upcoming versions is under steady development and that players can expect huge updates every six weeks with the update day scheduled every Wednesday. Starting with Update 1.1, players won’t have to worry about their equipped artifacts and weapons accidentally being used when leveling up other items in the game, given that they will now be locked to the character. Moreover, the update will introduce a detector when searching for nearby Anemoculus and Geoculus, which will, of course, make it easier to upgrade the Statues of the Seven.
Other quality of life improvements that will be introduced in update 1.1 is that any experience that is more than the max level when upgrading weapons will be refunded to the player as various ores. Players will also be given access to an encyclopedia of items that will provide descriptions of every material and how players can easily obtain them. Developer miHoYo has also confirmed that a new multiplayer event would be heading to the game soon, and some speculate that it could be similar to the Ignite the Elemental Crucible Event that was available during the beta. At the moment, miHoYo’s roadmap did not specify which bugs will be fixed in Genshin Impact he game. However, given that update 1.1 is a major one, it is expected that it will fix several glitches that players encountered at launch.
Genshin Impact December Update
On the other hand, version 1.2 is expected to go live on December 23, which will add the Dragonspine Snow Mountain area to Genshin Impact’s map. According to miHoYo, this new area should be a stark contrast to the warmer areas players are able to explore now and will add variety to the scenery in the current version of the game.
Unfortunately, apart from the addition of a new are in Genshin Impact, most of the content coming to the game in version 1.2 is still a mystery, but it appears that this update will be bigger than the 1.1 version coming in November. Of course, while miHoYo is still yet to confirm specifics, players can expect the usual bug fixes and even some quality of life updates.
Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, and mobile devices.
