To get right to it, the square that is being referenced by the Mysterious Islands: Journey to the Unknown quest is the large circular plaza on the west side of Mondstadt. For full clarity, a map that highlights this location can be found below, and players will need to speak with Barbara, Klee, and Jean when they arrive. That said, fans must confirm that they have waited until between 12:00 and 18:00 on the following day, or these Genshin Impact characters will not be present in the square.

With respect to how to wait for that timeframe to arrive, using the Time option on the left side of the menu is the best option. Indeed, players can use this feature to adjust the time in whatever way they see fit, and they should simply push the clock forward until it is past 12:00 on the next day. Notably, this action will put a waypoint at the location of Barbara, Klee, and Jean, and that should make it very easy for Genshin Impact fans to find the square.
After visiting this location in Mondstadt, fans will be sent out of city and to the Golden Apple Archipelago. It is in this area where players will encounter the Waverider in Genshin Impact for the very first time, and they will get to take it out onto the water. These players should be mindful of the fact that it will initially be possible to get lost in the fog, though, and they will thus not be able to take the boat wherever they wish.
However, this will change after completing Mysterious Islands: Journey to the Unknown’s next step, which requires fans to find and light up all the devices in Genshin Impact. The devices that this step is referencing are a series of Teleport Waypoints found in Golden Apple Archipelago, and there is one in the Twinning Isles, one in the Broken Isles, and one in the Minacious Isle. Interacting with these objects will cause the nearby fog to disappear, making the area much easier to navigate.
Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version also in development.
