In the Act 3 story quest titled " Dodo-King of the Sea: Lying In Wait," the traveler’s party finds that the islands of the Archipelago have changed again, and attempt to awaken the mysterious mechanical creature found in the central island. After completing the quests, players will unlock the Samurai Sighted… To Arms! event, in addition to the Maguu Kenki boss location.

What few players realize is that the various characters featured throughout the story quest can now be found throughout the Golden Apple Archipelago and can be interacted with. One of the most surprising characters featured in the story quest is Albedo, who assists players in assessing the mysterious crystals found in the waters of the Archipelago.
To interact with Albedo after completing the story quest, fast travel to the Minacious Isle waypoint. From the waypoint, players will find Albedo to the south, looking over the cliff. While interacting with Albedo may not grant players any additional rewards, or sidequests to complete, there is a significant amount of lore that can be obtained from the multiple conversation paths available through him.
Players who also happen to have Albedo in their roster can also interact with the character in the recently added Realm Dispatch update in the teapot realm. By crafting specific furniture sets that are favored by the character, Albedo will appear in the player’s teapot realm and will also give players a 20 primogem reward for interacting with him.
While players are in the Minacious Isle region, they should be sure not to miss out on the various puzzles that can be found throughout the island. South of the waypoint, players will find an elemental totem puzzle that will activate “The Winding Homeward Way” sidequest, and reward players with 40 primogems upon completion.
To the west of the Minacious Isle waypoint, players will find an island out at sea containing a locked chest that upon opening, rewards 15 primogems. Players should also be sure to obtain all of the remaining conch shells in the area before the launch of the final Act of the Midsummer Island Event.
As one of the most overlooked characters currently available in Genshin Impact, it is nice to see developer miHoYo feature the character in a more prominent story quest. While it has not been officially announced, it is likely that Albedo will also be featured in a rerun banner at some point during the upcoming Inazuma update set to launch in the month of July.
Genshin Impact is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version in development.
