Getting the Quest
In order to start this quest, players will have to find Yingzhu, the adventurer tasked with studying the elusive Irminsul Fruit. She is located near the Stone Gate, south of Wuwang Hill, which should be easy to find with the new interactive map that miHoYo released of Teyvat. She has quite the story to tell; after an attack from Treasure Hoarders, the Irminsul Fruit blew up, flying across the map in three different pieces. Players are tasked with finding each of these shards in a quest called Mr. Melancholy. But they should be careful; there are Mutation Stones near the Fruit Shards that buff the enemies in the surrounding area, making them more difficult to kill than usual.

The First Shard
The first fruit shard in Genshin Impact is just south of the area between Springvale and the Dawn Winery. It is located on “High Ground,” which is a clue for players to check anything at a higher elevation. Players will find the shard guarded by Treasure Hoarders, so they will need to bring their A game to battle them with the Fruit Shard’s boost.
The Second Shard
The second shard is located north of the Dawn Winery, and is protected by a lot of high-level Genshin Impact Hilichurls and their scarier brethren. Players should destroy the Mutation Stone before fighting the enemies; the boost they get can make them incredibly strong and difficult. These red stones can be more easily destroyed with two-handed weapons like a Claymore. Sometimes, there is more than one red stone location, so keep an eye out for their eerie glow.
The Third Shard
The last shard is located in a giant Hilichurl camp located south of Springvale. This camp will be to the east and a little south of the fast travel point; look for the ladder that leads up into the camp. The Mutation Stone will be located inside of the big round buildings.
Ending the Quest
Once players have collected all three of the shards, they can return to Yingzhu. In return, players will earn rewards in the form of three Hero’s Wit, six Mystic Ore, and 30,000 of the in-game Genshin Impact currency called Mora.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, and will be released later on Switch.
