Updated June 20th, 2021 by Anthony Puleo: A lot has changed since the initial launch of Genshin Impact, and players are expecting even more changes soon with the release of the Inazuma region. That said, Lotus Heads will still be used for Adventurer’s Guild Commissions and be an important part of cooking even after this update, and so players will want to know the best places to find them. It’s worth noting that since Lotus Heads are native to the Liyue region, it is unlikely that players will find them anywhere in the new Inazuma region.
Using Lotus Heads For Daily Comissions
Turning in Lotus Heads to the Adventurer’s Guild when asked to for a daily commission is a great way to get a ton of Adventure Rank experience fairly easily. There are also other rewards associated with it, so Genshin Impact players would be wise to stock up on these ahead of time.

As with any item in Genshin Impact, the game itself tells players the general location of Lotus Heads as well as a recommended area to get a lot of them. Beyond this, there are also several areas that players have discovered to be plentiful sources of Lotus Heads. Gathering some now will save time for the player when these do show up as commission requests, helping players get Adventure Ranks fast.
Where to Find Lotus Heads - Genshin Impact
Lotus Heads can be found out in the wild in lakes and river banks, most commonly in the Liyue region. The following locations are often cited as the best place to farm Lotus Heads quickly:
Luhua Pool - They can be found in great abundance in the various small pools in the area. Qingce Village - There are many Lotus Heads in the watery areas here. Ponds around Liyue Harbor - Also check the pond leading to Yujing Terrace inside the city. Hidden Palace of Guizang Formula - Lotus Heads in the water west of Hidden Palace of Guizang Formula
Lotus Head - Genshin Impact Expeditions
For those players that don’t want to take the time to gather them by hand or for those waiting for Genshin Impact’s daily reset, Lotus Heads can also be obtained in great numbers from expeditions. Once in the expedition menu, players should dispatch a character to Guili Plains and Dunyu Ruins. A 20 hour expedition at either of these locations provides the player with 8-12 Lotus Heads, making this a great way to stock up when players don’t actively need them. Doing both of these expeditions overnight could result in as many as 24 Lotus Heads, and the time can be reduced using certain characters like Chongyun or Keqing.
Genshin Impact - Buying Lotus Heads and What They’re For
Another method players can use to speed up this process is simply buying Lotus Heads. In Liyue Harbor, players can buy 10 Lotus Heads from Bubu Pharmacy for 300 Mora each. Players will have to wait for the pharmacy to restock to buy more, however. Aside from commissions, Lotus Heads can also be used in two Alchemy recipes and various cooking recipes, including Hydro potions that boost Hydro damage or resistance and the 4-star Jade Parcels food item that gives a large attack and crit rate boost to players.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, and PS4, and later on Switch.
