Mist Flower Corolla isn’t used for cooking or enhancing Genshin Impact characters for further leveling. It is a material used for crafting Frosting Essential Oil and Frostshield Potions, and there is also the possibility that it could be used for other recipes in the future.

In order to collect these materials, players will need at least one character with the ability to use a Pyro Elemental skill. Since players will automatically get Amber at the beginning of Genshin Impact, she is more than capable of meeting this requirement.
Mist Flower Corolla is produced by ice flowers. They commonly grow on the edges of bodies of water, and this includes rivers, the ocean, lakes, and ponds. It isn’t recommended to get too close to these flowers at first due to their ability to freeze players solid.
In order to make it possible to harvest from the flowers, players must use a Pyro Elemental attack on the ice flower. This can include Amber’s charged shot or any other Pyro-based character from the gacha system. After the ice melts around the flower, players can move in close to grab the Mist Flower Corolla. Players do not have to be actively controlling the Pyro-based character in order to pick up the material.
There are many places in the world where players can pick up these materials. Some great places to look include the ocean’s shore and the water by Dawn Winery in Mondstadt. It will, however, take real-world time for the ice flowers to repopulate, so players can return to these areas after a couple of days have passed.
If players find an ice flower and are looking to build up their supply of Mist Flower Corolla, they can place a map marker that indicates where they found it so they can return after they are sure that it has respawned. Players looking for the ice flowers should keep their eyes out for the frozen water surrounding the flowers, as they make the plants stand out compared to other plants.
Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, and PS4. A Switch version is in development.
