Updated on February 21, 2022, by Scott Vengel: Many players have been returning to Liyue’s mountains after the recent Lantern Rite Festival. Due to the massive amount of Genshin Impact fans receiving Liyue’s four-star character, partially due to the event’s four-star giveaway, players are now looking for ores like Cor Lapis. For players looking to build Beidou or Yanfei, they will be trying to get their hands on a large supply of Noctilucous Jade. This article has been updated to add more information on how to find Noctilucous Jade, as well as to add Yanfei to the Noctilucous Jade’s ascension list.
Where To Buy Noctilucous Jade In Genshin Impact
There are two primary methods for getting Noctilucous Jade in Genshin Impact, and it is perfectly fine to use either one of them in order to advance the Big Business quest. Perhaps the easiest of the two methods is to simply purchase the Jade from Shitou in the Liyue Harbor. This NPC can be found in the same area as the restaurant and blacksmith, and indeed they have a total of 5 Noctilucous Jade for sale at a rate of 1,000 Mora per stone (which resets every three days).

Where To Find Noctilucous Jade In Genshin Impact
That said, players that would like to save their Mora can collect Noctilucous Jade from Genshin Impact’s open world, and there are a variety of locations where it can be found. One place where it is extremely common to see this mineral is in and around the mines in the Mingyun Village area, which is located just east of the Wangshu Inn where the Big Business quest began. For full clarity, here is a map highlighting exactly where fans can go to find the Noctilucous Jade that they need:
After arriving at this location, Genshin Impact players should be on the lookout for shimmering ores that are blue in color. Indeed, these are the Noctilucous Jade, and fans simply need to break three of them to fulfill Bao’er’s request and earn one of the invoices for Landa. Notably, breaking these minerals free can be a somewhat time-consuming endeavor, and it is recommended that players that wish to expedite the process turn to a great sword or explosives if they have them available.
There are many other locations for Noctilucous Jade on the map if players do not find enough for their needs in Mingyun. Above is a map with all the known locations of Noctilucous Jade. At any given moment, a total of 46 Noctilucous Jade can exist in a Genshin Impact world at a given moment, excluding the Jade bought from vendors. These deposits will reset at 4 am for Eastern timezone players every two days.

Should these deposits not be enough, or too difficult to collect, then players can increase their Noctilucous Jade collection by visiting another player’s realm. Players should always collect Noctilucous Jade with the express permission of the realm owner.
Characters That Require Noctilucous Jade
To close, it is worth mentioning that Noctilucous Jade is not only used in the Big Business quest, as it is also needed for Beidou and Yanfei’s Character Ascension. As such, players that are utilizing these claymore and catalyst-wielding Genshin Impact characters may want to stock up on the material while they are working on Big Business. This will assure that they have some Noctilucous Jade on hand when they need it, preventing them from having to return to the sources that are detailed in this guide.
Along with other materials and Mora, Beidou and Yanfei require 168 Noctilucous Jade each to reach full ascension:
Ascension 1: 3 Noctilucous Jade Ascension 2: 10 Noctilucous Jade Ascension 3: 20 Noctilucous Jade Ascension 4: 30 Noctilucous Jade Ascension 5: 45 Noctilucous Jade Ascension 6: 60 Noctilucous Jade
That being said, players will be able to collect enough Jade to reach full ascension in 7 days total, should they use both deposits and vendors.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
