Because of how good Xingqiu can be, it is almost impossible to list all the team compositions he fits in. So, players can check the characters he synergizes most with and make their own Xingqiu team compositions in Genshin Impact.

Pyro - For Vaporize Team Compositions

Some Pyro characters can really benefit from having Xingqiu in their team compositions. It helps drive their damage into a higher tier as they relentlessly trigger the Vaporize Elemental reaction.

Hu Tao

Xingqiu’s best characters to be included in his team compositions have to start with Hu Tao. Hu Tao and Xingqiu are the best pair in Genshin Impact. Since Hydro lingers longer on enemies than other Elements, Xingqiu’s Rainswords will provide Hu Tao with the perfect circumstances to trigger Vaporize repeatedly in ‌every one of her Charged Attacks.

Xiangling

While Hu Tao has to stay on the field to inflict damage, Xiangling doesn’t like the spotlight and wants to stay off-field. She has one of the highest off-field DPS in Genshin Impact, and for the duration of her Burst, Xiangling will not stop enabling and triggering Pyro-related reactions. Taking all that into consideration, Xiangling is an excellent duo with Xingqiu.

Yoimiya

Although there is a lot of clunkiness in Yoimiya’s kit, she still is a reliable damage dealer. With Xingqiu, Yoimiya will be able to trigger Vaporize about three times in each full combo of her Normal Attacks. Overall, she won’t perform as well as Hu Tao with Xingqiu, but she will definitely benefit from having Xingqiu in Yoimiya’s best team Compositions in Genshin Impact.

Yanfei

Just Like Hu Tao, Yanfei also depends on her Charged Attacks to inflict most of her damage. So having Xingqiu “wet” the situation ready for each of her Charged Attacks to land a Vaporize reaction is perfect for her kit.

Cryo - For Freeze Team Compositions

Pairing Xingqiu with most Cryo users is a blessing to them since he will help them trigger freeze during their attacks. Freezing enemies won’t intercept whatever plan players have with reactions since frozen enemies will still have the Cryo aura on them. So, in short, the cold never bothered Xingqiu, anyway.

Chongyun

Chongyun and Xingqiu have the perfect synergy together. Cryo and Hydro Elements are already great since they constantly freeze enemies. Both are decent enablers while being able to deal some massive damage off-field. Chongyun can also be crucial in some of Xingqiu’s team compositions because of his 15% cooldown reduction passive. It helps lower Xingqiu’s huge Elemental Skill CD.

However, note that Chongyun’s Claymore can “Shatter” frozen enemies, removing the frozen status and dealing Elemental Reaction DMG instead.

Kaeya

Since it’s hard to acquire Kaeya’s constellations, most players consider Kaeya to be a mediocre character‌. What makes Kaeya special is his ability to perform well on and off the field.

With Xingqiu, Kaeya will have an easier time on the field since his and Xingqiu’s Elemental application is good enough to keep enemies frozen. Even when Kaeya is operating as a Sub-DPS in Genshin Impact, they both synergize well enough to help their team with their Elemental Bursts, especially since both of them are reliable batteries for their respective elements.

Electro - For Electro-charged Team Compositions

Since Xingqiu has one of the most consistent Hydro applications in Genshin Impact, it is no surprise that he also works perfectly in team compositions that revolve around the Electro-charged Elemental reaction.

Keqing

Keqing is a fast-paced character that moves and hits quickly. On top of that, her Elemental Skill infuses her Normal Attacks with Electro, and Xingqiu’s whole Supportive kit requires the DPS to let out as many Normal Attacks as possible to trigger his Rainswords.

Xingqiu doubles the benefits of Keqing’s fast movements because of his high and reliable Hydro application. Anything Keqing touches in Genshin Impact immediately will light with an Electro-charged reaction since his application is even faster.

Raiden Shogun

This is the only place where Xingqiu will underperform against another character. Not because of his lacking, it’s because of how excellent of a Support the Electro Archon is. Ei allows Xingqiu to wield a sword other than a Sacrificial sword and wield Genshin Impact 5-star swords that will elevate his insane damage to another level.

Geo And Anemo - ‌Good In All Xingqiu’s Team Compositions

Xingqiu won’t have much field time or reactions with Anemo and Geo characters. Still, some of them can work really well with his kit by having a certain role that benefits him or his team compositions. For example, by regenerating his Elemental Burst or shredding enemies’ Hydro resistance and much more other capabilities.

Venti

Just like Raiden Shogun, Venti is also capable of allowing Xingqiu to operate with other Genshin Impact swords. His Elemental Burst regenerates Xingqiu’s Energy (if he absorbs Hydro) and offers a stable amount of Swirls that will reduce enemies’ resistance to Hydro. This will massively raise Xingqiu’s damage while keeping him consistent with his Burst casting. Not to mention the insane crowd control Venti has over most monsters.

Yun Jin

While Yun Jin doesn’t directly buff Xingqiu, she has an essential Normal Attack buff that will enhance the performance of any character pairing with Yun Jin. For that, she synergizes well with Xingqiu since all his Genshin Impact kit depends on the Normal Attacks unleashed by him or his teammates.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
