As Miko is essentially the familiar and the servant of the Archon, she has the region’s best interest in mind. Although at times, Miko does think of her own good before anyone else’s. Travelers will understand better once they play Yae Miko’s Story Quest in Genshin Impact.

Yae Miko’s Divina Vulpes Chapter – Act I Story Quest Walkthrough
Yae Miko’s Story Quest starts with the Traveler hearing rumors about a new book. This title, “A Firsthand Guide to Summoning Spirits,” is said to have the ability to grant any wish if people do a certain ritual.
Mysterious Urban Legend Sub-Quest
To know more about this book, players have to find Yae Miko in the Grand Narukami Shrine. There, a man is begging the Guuji to help him. This person, Katou Youhei, said that his brother has been acting weird lately. He asks Yae Miko to exorcize his kin.
After finally agreeing to help, the Kitsune decides to ask around about the situation. One of the villagers, Kenji, says that Youhei’s brother appeared to become a master swordsman overnight and managed to beat Domon’s disciple.
Shortly after, Youhei came running and said that he found his brother.
Now, players must travel to the waterfall to find Shingo, Youhei’s brother. After throwing salt at Shingo, some sort of spirit will appear out of nowhere. Defeat it to proceed with the story.
After the exorcism is complete, it’s revealed that the Katou brothers made a wish following the “Firsthand Guide to Summoning Spirits” novel, and Shingo got possessed by an Oni spirit. But even after all that, Miko says that she doesn’t have to get involved in this issue. She claims that the possession won’t have any permanent impact on mortals.
However, upon hearing that Yae Publishing House is losing market share, the Guuji decides to take the matter into her own hands.
Friendship In Writing Sub-Quest
Meet Yae Miko in her Publishing House to create a plan on how to rival the viral novel. The clever fox says that to battle a big thing, one must come up with the next big thing. Using the Traveler’s experience, Miko decides to assist them in creating their own novel.

Now, head to Uyuu Restaurant to meet with Yae Miko’s writers team. Here, players have to pick a total of three titles for their book.
After finishing the brainstorming, find Nakano Shino in the city to submit the completed title. To know how well the novel performed, players must wait three in-game days. Travelers can fast-forward the time using the clock feature in the Paimon Menu.
While Miko is certain the novel will outperform “A Firsthand Guide to Summoning Spirits,” she says that the work is not yet done as they still have to find the original author of the book.
A Centuries-Long Dream Sub-Quest
Therefore, players have to go to a Domain specifically prepared to summon spirits. In this challenge, Travelers must light up four Electro lamps to complete it.

Note that there are a total of six Chests in this Domain. Make sure to grab them all before finishing the task. Otherwise, players won’t be able to come back for them.
Once the Electro lamps are all activated, a mechanism will be triggered and set the location for the summoning. As the ritual will cause someone to get possessed, the Guuji kindly ask the Traveler to be the victim.
The story will continue with Yae Miko knowing who’s behind all these issues. The Youkai involved asks Miko if they will ever have another Hyakkiyakou, and she promises him so.
Banquet Of Parting Sub-Quest
Back in Grand Narukami Shrine, the Kitsune explains that Hyakkiyakou is simply a gathering of the Youkai. However, as the ritual will attract many monsters, Miko instructs the Traveler to clear the shrine and handle the enemies when the ritual is conducted.
There will be a total of four waves in the fight. After battling the monsters, go back to Grand Narukami Shrine to witness the Hyakkiyakou.
A beautiful cutscene will start and Travelers get to watch the Youkai fill the sky and block the moon. Sadly, after watching all her old friends go back to where they belong, it made Miko feel a little lonely.
To cheer her up, players will treat Yae Miko to a meal. Fast-forward the time to the next day to continue the quest.
The following day, the Kitsune will have gone ahead and ordered before the Travelers even arrive. She had a large and lavish meal, completely enjoying herself. Paimon will then remark on how Yae Miko was cheap when she treated them last time.
After this scene, Yae Miko’s Act I Story Quest will end and players will be rewarded with 60 Primogems.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
